Malay: Pulau Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 600 metres (2,000 ft) from the seabed. It is located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. It was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone that took thousands of years to develop. Sipadan is located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific basin, the centre of one of the richest marine habitats in the world. More than 400 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been classified in this ecosystem. Sipadan Island was at the top of Rodale's Scuba Diving Magazine Gold List for 'The Top Dive Destination in the World.

Diving:


Frequently seen in the waters around Sipadan: green and hawksbill turtle (which mate and nest there), enormous schools of barracuda in tornado-like formations as well as large schools of big-eye trevally, and bumphead parrotfish. Pelagic species such as manta rays, eagle rays, scalloped hammerhead sharks and whale sharks also visit Sipadan. A turtle tomb lies underneath the column of the island, formed by an underwater limestone cave with a labyrinth of tunnels and chambers that contain many skeletal remains of turtles that become lost and drown before finding the surface.

How do we get there ?

- Kuala Lampur to Tawau Airport (TWU), Sabah Borneo (Malaysian Airlines)

- Road transfer (1.15 hours) to Semporna (Stay the night at Semporna)

- Next morning report to Seaventures office, complete registration  

- Boat transfer to the Dive Rig

In your current package, 2 days of diving at Sipadan island is included. i.e 6 dives in total.

For the rest of the days, we would dive around the island of Mabul & Kapilai.
An extra day of diving at Sipadan can be requested but would be allowed only based on permit availability. The same would be charged additionally if the dives are possible.

Please note that the final call for particular dive will be taken by the dive guide/leader at the partner dive centre at the destination. In case of bad weather or any other circumstance, dives could be cancelled without prior announcement. No refunds will be entertained in such scenarios

In case a diver is unable to dive on a particular day or days due to his personal or any medical reasons, no refunds will be made.

Medical clearance certificate for all divers are a must.

As much we promise you all the marine life in the world on all our dives, it is after all nature and what we end up seeing and experiencing will be our luck too!

Dive Computers are a must for every diver. Sharing is not permitted.

No diving for guests flying on their check-out day. Any boat dives are non-transferable and only permitted as scheduled by dive centre management for each diver.
