Module 1: Theory & Knowledge Reviews
E - Manual
To get certified, the candidate must get registered with PADI. We can do that for you. Just give us your:
- Full name
- Email id
- Date of Birth.
When that’s done, PADI mails you a unique code with the course e-manual. It contains 5 chapters for you to read.
Knowledge Reviews
Every chapter ends with questions. Answer them on numbered blank sheets of paper. This is to help you remember. You’ll need to carry this when you meet us for the video session.
Video Session
(This happens at Aquanaut, mostly Saturdays)
At the end of each chapter in the e-manual, you have set of questions that you need to answer. Kindly answer them on blank sheets of paper number wise. This purely to understand and recap what you have learnt in each chapter. You will need to carry this when you meet us for the video session.
Module 2: Confined Water
Sunday at the Pool
The pool session commences at 9.45 am. We start with a swim test for the candidate where we test swimming and treading in water. Then we start the SCUBA session. We teach skills that you’ll apply in your final OPEN WATER ocean dives. The session takes around 2 hours. We ensure every candidate is thorough!
For the pool sessions, we suggest you bring:
- Towel
- 2. A bottle of drinking water
- 3. Swimsuit/ swim shorts
- Curiosity!
Final Review & Test (Sunday, post the pool session)
You’ve done the theory. You’ve practiced in the pool. Now it’s time for a small exam. Now, don’t panic! It’s simple. There are 50 questions and you need to get just 38 right. Easy peasy!
Referral
After the 2 modules, you get a universally accepted referral form! On your dive holiday, just produce this referral with the unique code from PADI. The dive centre you visit will complete your 4 mandatory ocean dives and use the code for your final certification. After that, PADI will mail you the Open Water ID card to the address you provide.
And just like that you are now A PADI OPEN WATER DIVER.
You just expanded your holiday footprint to 71% of the planet!
