Trip Info

This October, we’ll cross the equator to reach Addu Atoll, the Maldives’ southernmost atoll, which used to be a British Air Force base. With its large islands, unique geography, flourishing population and rich history and culture, the heart-shaped atoll is home to some of the most diverse natural habitats in the country.

BENEATH THE WAVES

The waters around the atoll boast healthy coral reefs, plentiful marine life, and opportunities to encounter various species, especially pelagics like rays, sea turtles,

and sharks. The area is particularly known for year-round sightings of manta rays and whale sharks. Reef sharks and tiger sharks are known to frequent some of their dive sites. One can also explore The British Loyalty, the Maldives' largest wreck, which was first built in 1928 as an oil tanker and sunk at Addu Atoll after World War 2. Despite the atoll’s remote location, the sea conditions are not extreme; currents are generally milder than many other popular Maldivian Atolls.

(GAN) Via Male (MLE)

Fly to Male and transfer to a local Maldivian airline.

We can book your domestic flights between Male and Gan at a surcharge of USD 325 + taxes. You will have to book your flights between India and Male on your own.

We do not offer lounges or transfers within Male.

IF YOU WISH TO AVAIL THIS OPTION, KINDLY LET US KNOW AT THE TIME OF SPOT BOOKING, AS YOUR BOOKING AMOUNT WILL CHANGE, AND WE NEED TO INFORM OUR PARTNER AT ADDU.

Dive Insurance

We always insist on having a dive specific insurance policy for the duration for the trip. In these remote islands, the cost of treatment and evacuation in the unlikely time of an injury etc is very high. A sound insurance policy that covers this sport would ensure the most peace of mind. This will cover you on unforeseen trip cancellations and dive related accidents.
